Maji tells the story of Leo Gripari, who embarks on five physical challenges around the world to raise money for sustainable water projects, directly helping those who need it most.

As his global journey unfolds, MAJI tells the stories of experts, activists and communities fighting to protect water in their own individual ways – weaving together human stories, expert insights and physical challenges across some of the most challenging terrains on the planet, all in the name of saving our most precious resource.

Water is life. But across the world, millions of people face the harsh realities of a developing global water crisis. ‘Maji’ (water in Swahili) embarks on a transformative journey alongside Leo Gripari, who, inspired by this issue, undertakes five physical challenges worldwide to raise funds for sustainable water projects. As Leo’s journey unfolds, the audience encounters the profound experiences of experts, local communities and groups fighting to protect water. From the ecological impact of melting glaciers in Iceland to the social, cultural, and political ramifications of water scarcity and degradation in Nepal and Jordan, Maji weaves together personal narratives and expert insights to create a captivating exploration of this shared global issue.
